Why do I use the word Storytelling to describe my family sessions? It’s simple. I want your images to be a reflection of your story.
I believe that your session should be laid-back, comfortable and translate the true spirit of your family. I like to give some guidance, but also let you and your children lead. Often times, kids come up with the best ideas and allowing them to feel in control only makes for more natural and playful images.
How will I help you prepare for your session? After booking, I’ll send a short questionnaire so I can get a better idea of your personalities. I also want to know if you have goals for the shoot and any images that are really important to you. I’ll include information on how certain clothing can positively or negatively effect your images.
Is there a location that’s part of your story? I have a few locations that I can recommend for family sessions based on light and scenery, but I’m always open to something different if there’s a place that’s especially meaningful to you.
My goal is for you to have a fun and memorable experience. Family sessions shouldn’t be stressful. My favorite part at the end of a session is when kids say, “that was so much fun!”
There’s are so good – you (as usual!) captured their personalities and relationships perfectly
